White Out is a series of photographs taken in a foggy snow landscape. The extreme whiteness results in a natural overexposure of the camera set on automatic that blurs out the content of the very image. In the plain white you can perceive the wage silhouettes of trees and hills but it is left to the viewers imagination to form the idea of a landscape. The depiction of landscape as a classic art genre, has always strived after perfection and beauty. The human notion of the ideal replaces the blank parts of the picture with the lacking information, which the camera was not able to depict because of its technical condition.
