“100% YÜN” (100% Wool) is a filmic portrait of a traditional weaver from the historical city center of Istanbul. His existence is threatened by the tourist industry that forces small production sites out of the centre of town. The film oscillates between the memories of the weaver's old days and the fear of having to relocate his business to a newly built production complex in the outskirts. The weaver’s existence is trapped in a time bubble that he tries to preserve by all means. The patchwork of flashbacks and dreamlike sequences end in the real production of a fabric that bears the rolling titles of the film.
The film is shown as an installation in art institution alongside with the fabric with the credits, the weaver produced during the making of the film.
